Centro ASSIST is a semi finalist in the Connecting Up Awards
Centro ASSIST is a semi finalist in the Connecting Up NFP “Using Technology to Connect to the Community – Best Small to Medium Sized Enterprise” Award
The winner will be announced on May 9th at a Gala Dinner in Melbourne. The Technology Awards were introduced four years ago to ensure Connecting Up conference delegates could celebrate the achievements in their sector over the previous year while looking to the future.
This year’s conference, ‘Transform 2019’ on 8-10th May will see more than 500 non-profit delegates attend master classes on IT strategy, digital transformation, social media and fundraising; two days of plenaries, the Australian Not-for-Profit Leadership Breakfast, and a 35-stand non-profit focused technology exhibition. Speakers will include IBM Watson artificial intelligence and machine learning expert Jodie Sangster, Marketing Week columnist Mark Ritson, IT Security expert Joe Ciancio from Maxsum Consulting and philanthropy and fundraising researcher Dr Ruth Knight. They will join senior non-profit leaders including Australian Council of Social Services CEO Cassandra Goldie, Community Council for Australia CEO David Crosbie and Good2Give CEO Lisa Grinham, who will facilitate a panel session on 21st Century fundraising.
The three-day interactive conference is a landmark event for technology buffs in the non-profit sector and supports their work in accelerating the digital transformation and performance of their organisations. I am attending the Digital Transformation and IT Strategy Masterclass on 8th May with Sandra Vallance and Marcus Harvey. It will look at a high level at the components of an IT strategy with a focus on understanding organisations’ business strategies and the level of IT sophistication that these strategies require.
