Tools to help promote your NDIS business
As a new service provider, you may wish to gain access to some tools to help promote your business. Not sure of the do’s and don’ts? Can you use the NDIS logo? Here are some handy tips and the tools to put those marketing plans in action.
Can I use the NDIS logo?
Registered NDIS providers can use the ‘I/we heart NDIS’ logos, as well as the ‘Registered NDIS provider’ tagline. These logo assets can help show your support of NDIS and raise community awareness.
It’s important to note that the NDIS logo and acronym cannot be used without permission from the NDIA, as they are both registered trademarks that belong to the NDIA. This includes using the NDIS logo or acronym on any promotional material including stationary, vehicles, buildings, business cards, emails etc. The NDIS acronym cannot be used in a business or domain name. If you are uncertain about the use of NDIS branding and logos, contact the NDIA Marketing team, who keep check of groups that are seen to be representing NDIA or breaching trade mark laws.
Logo Assets
If you are in search of the ‘I heart NDIS’, ‘We heart NDIS’, ‘I support the NDIS’, ‘We support the NDIS’ or ‘Registered provider’ logo assets, these are all available via the NDIS website at this link.
The logo assets include JPG, EPS and SVG files for your use. Simply download the appropriate pack and ensure to unzip the files first.
The use of these assets can help build credibility immediately and makes it known that you’re involved in the NDIS scheme.
Social Media
You may wish to promote that you’re an NDIS provider by sharing some NDIS videos. Simply visit the NDIS Facebook page and YouTube channel, click on the share button to circulate the asset with your network. Here you can add commentary and a Call to Action (CTA), or simply post the video as is.
Social media is a great way to build connections and trust, and requires a long-term strategy to engage deeply. Here, you can share helpful information with participants, your own insights, links to other providers, as well as promotional messages.
There are a multitude of social media groups to help recommend services and products. Build a strong network to gain referred business, attend events both virtually or in person.
Provider Finder
The Provider Finder tool gives participants the ability to search by name, location, service or professional group. This tool is available in both the myplace provider and participant portals.
You may choose to have your location displayed on a map that has a zoom in and out function. The ‘Outlet detail’ function allows you to display different locations if you deliver support from various sites.
To help participants find NDIS providers, it’s important to keep all your details up-to-date with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Media Toolkit
It is recommended to download the NDIS Media Toolkit for helpful advice on portraying people with a disability in the media as active members of the community rather than inspirational or victims or sufferers. Protect your brand and business, and prepare for appropriate communication with your audience.
